The Guide for the Perplexed by Maimonides

Posted by: Sepehr Mohamadi in: ● January 29, 2009

The Guide for the Perplexed is one of most important books of  Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon, who is known also as Maimonides.

This book is written in Arabic but with Hebrew Letters and it’s original name is “دلاله الحائرین”.

It is told that Maimonides wanted that Moslems don’t understand the meaning of his book, so wrote the book in Hebrew letters.

By the way Moslems pay attention a lot to his book. Dr. Hussein Attai has been transliterated the book to arabic letter very good and pure.

As this book may be rare to find I’m publishing the electronic copy of book here:

“Allah is "Hovah"
besides Whom there is no god,
the ever living, the Self subsisting,
by Whom all subsist Slumber does not overtake Him nor sleep,
Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is His,
Who is he that can intercede with Him but by His permission,
He knows what is before them and what is behind them,
And they cannot comprehend anything out of His knowledge except what He pleases,
His knowledge extends over the heavens and the earth,
And the preservation of them both tires Him not,
And He is the Most High, the Great
